Join us on at 5:00 p.m. Monday, 7/8, for the next lecture in our ongoing series, which is free and open to the public. Bill Davies will be presenting "South Carolina's Lost Hundred Years - the Story of Santa Elena." The lecture will be held in the historic sanctuary of the New First Missionary Baptist Church (1644 Hwy. 174).

The lecture will be on the activity of the French and Spanish in South Carolina between the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492 and the English settlement in Jamestown in 1607, and will include interactions with the local tribes of indigenous Americans.
